Community OrdersThere is a range of community penalties that the Courts may impose. Some of them are described briefly here. • Community Rehabilitation OrderSuitable for: Offenders aged 16 years and over where clearly identified areas of need have contributed to their offending. • Community Rehabilitation Order with additional requirements:
• Community Punishment Order
• Community Punishment and Rehabilitation OrderThis order combines: Community Rehabilitation Order (1-3 year's duration) and Community Punishment Order (minimum 40 hours - maximum 1000 hours) Suitable for: Offenders 16 years and over convicted of an offence that is of the more serious category for which a community sentence may be imposed. • Drug Treatment and Testing OrderA minimum of 6 months up to a maximum of 3 years and will contain a request for the offender to receive treatment and be tested for the presence of drugs during the Order. This Order and the offender's progress are reviewed regularly by the sentencing court. Suitable for: Offenders aged 18 years and over (this may be extended to 16 years and over):
